Diesel Engine Technical Advisor
Balikpapan
We are looking for experienced diesel mechanic with good attention to detail for the position of diesel mechanic head of department. The primary duties include performing tear down inspections diagnostic on engines. Assembling engines and testing on dyno.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of standards, policies and best practice.
- Develops and train the diesel engine mechanic.
- Responsible for the repair and remanufacturing of the diesel engines , tooling and equipment.
- Analyze and reporting.
Competencies

- Analyzing problems with engines and rectifying the same.
- Repairing or replacing faulty parts and systems.
- Sometimes integrating new technology into the engine structure.
- Rebuilding engines after their efficient lifetime is over.
- Conducting performance tests on dyno
- Preparing and updating records on service work conducted on engines.
- Knowledge of the Mining Industry, customers and competitors
- Deep know-how of the production processes including Lean (5S), Kaizen
- Knowledge of quality management systems and process management.
Professional Skills:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- Diesel Certification advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
- Good IT and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.

Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
- Diesel Certification advantageous.
- Entry level require a minimum of 3 – 5 years experience on diesel engines.
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) or Master Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 6-10 years’ experience in industrial production or Remanufacturing.
Other competencies:
- Project Management skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems
Language
- As a foreign language for this position, fluent in English is essential (speaking / writing).
- Additional language such as German or French is an additional advantage.
Project Construction Manager

We are looking for experienced Construction Project to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. Will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Following the construction phases with the construction company and insure the time line / follow up any deviations.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Organize permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Insure and follow up the construction contract with Liebherr Head construction department.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Coordinate cost / PO’s / invoices with purchasing / controlling.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
Competencies
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles High level of computer literacy.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
